with irresistible displays of tropical fruits and vegetables.
Australian, German, Swiss, French, American and Italian restaurants lie

You will find a host of
fascinating things to do and see. King Mengrai founded Chiang Rai in
1262 A.D. and his statue is at the start of the Mae Sai road. In nearby
Chiang Saen, a short hill climb gives a splendid view of
where the three Golden Triangle nations meet. An elephant ride can take
you to one of many cascading waterfalls, or past terraced rice paddies.
Doi Tung and Doi mae Salong offer many scenic treats including a floral
sculpture garden at the Princess Mother's palace, enchanting country
views, exotic hilltribe costumes and culture, and beautiful Buddhist
temples. You may choose to go rafting
from Thaton to Chiang Rai - a two or three day trip on the Kok River.
Or, cruise the Maekong River from Chiang Khong. We can help you arrange
many memorable tours here at the Wangcome.
